adventures in new jersey - abandoned brooksbrae brick factory

I've officially been in New Jersey for a week now and have finally gone on my first adventure through the Pine Barrens with my friend's younger brother Andres. The weather was just too gorgeous today to NOT get outside and enjoy it, so we hopped in the car and he took me out to this fabulous abandoned brick factory from the 1800s about 30 minutes away from the house.

This place literally took my breath away. There is amazing artwork splattered across nearly every inch of remaining stone, and plenty of tunnels to check out. (If you're not a giant scardy-cat like me). I loved every moment of exploring these old ruins, and I can't wait to go back and explore some more - hopefully with an equally adventurous couple in tow this time!

For now, check out these images from my adventure (including one of me owling!), and hopefully be on the look-out for another post from this location in the near future!
